Finally, after more than a half century of maddening secrecy, the Peoples Republic of China has agreed to provide information on the fate of U.S. servicemen missing in action from the war in Korea. The U.S. government has known for years that a significant portion of these MIAs wound up in the hands of the ChiComs. Now, if all goes according to plan, some longstanding MIA China mysteries are likely to be resolved. Of course, in exchange for providing this info, China will want something from us. It's hard to imagine what we could give them that they haven't already stolen. Nevertheless, this marks a significant move in the evolution of MIA resolution.
