"Mommy, what does THIS button do?" Erin and Liam had fun today out at the Wartime Musem's Open House in Virginia. But this, obviously, is no tank. Any more entrants in the i.d. stakes?

Is this the new ID stakes photo? Because this is obviously a UH-60 Blackhawk, I'll have to go with 'L' model, since I can't see inside the cockpit.
Well, I was trying to go light on you this time... But I don't know if it's an L model. Still, you get credit - and, of course, your cake. And an extra piece for throwing in that L-model stuff.
It's a Lima-model, even if it was originally an Alpha, it still went through the upgrade.
The only remaining UH-60A is in the museum at Ft. Rucker -- along with *whine* every other aircraft I ever flew in the Army...
Just checked the Museum's location -- that has to be a UH-60L from the 29th Aviation Brigade, Virginia ARNG.
I didn't call in that chopper, but it's NG, so there's a pretty good chance you're right about where it comes from. Sorry about all those mothballed / mummified ac. They did wonderful work. At our last open house, a gorgeous Huey flew in and landed... a lot of the VN vets were visibly touched. You could see it in their eyes as soon as they heard the rotor sounds.
That may have been the Huey from "In the Shadow of the Blade." A lot of us VHPA worked to get it in the air again...
Tanks are much more interesting: they have tracks, and real guns.
Cheers
Oh, you are SO gonna get some flak about the guns from...um... Bill, you still with us? Hahaha....
And welcome, Minicapt. Good to have you here!
Minicapt is a treadhead, but otherwise harmless.
He knows his heavy metal, though -- you'll have to get pretty obscure to stump him.
New contest entry! Up on the main page!
*making popcorn to see who gets there second*
We have a winning entry! I am now composing a gentle way to reveal the fate of the True Four. It isnt pretty...
