There's Something About a Brown-Water Navy Boat...

I am so, so glad these guys are on our side. And I'm loving the water and clouds. The sky looks as if it were painted. But in addition to being pretty, this pic also reminds me of an old friend who served on a riverine patrol boat Vietnam. His story is worth retelling. I shall have to scour the files...

To me the water looks tan with a little bit of pale blue mixed in.

I'm glad to see that wiseguy-hood has not evaporated with 2012....

And that your own wiseguy skills are going strong! Wisegirl? Wisegal? Is that a word?

Actually, I think the whole thing is a painting and very well done. I agree though some water skis would make it an Apocalypse now moment. However, remind me, why are they patrolling in Columbia?

Oil or watercolor? I love the smell of paint in the morning...

I am going to guess that this has something to do with a joint exercise or counterdrug mission. Just a guess.

Found the reference! As per Big Blue:
