Dear SKK: "What Do You Suggest Be Done About Benghazi?"

Via private e-gram, from Carabas: "What do you suggest be done about Benghazi?"

My response: A bipartisan select committee with open hearings, where witnesses do not fear reprisal.

Easier said than done. The survivors are scared to talk, I'm told.

Well, we have a mess and where to we start? You have a situation and you want both accountability, but without reprisal. I figure when you say that, you are specifically referring to the "Whistle-Blowers". If what they are saying is true, then and only then should they be protected. I know this is impossible if you use politicians, especially this bunch, because he may have given the order to "Stand-Down". I would hope that we could have something similar to a Military "After-Action Report". I used the masculine form, he. But I am afraid the only way that we will get to the truth is by keeping politics out of the whole thing. The end result will be an impeachment, but not of Obama, from what I understand, he did not call the shots. Earlier, I referred to Watergate, this same thing only flipped. "What is sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander."

Problem is the RINOs in Congress. Who wants to trust Boehner?

This sort of drama is typical of latter Republican periods. Cicero, anyone?

Quo usque tandem abutere, Catilina, patientia nostra? quam diu etiam furor iste tuus nos eludet?

I love it when you speak Latin. Now can you translate, so I won't have to dust off those old grammars? ; )

Welcome, Citizen Tom! And yes, Grumpy - there should be an AAR. But will we ever see it? Without a court order? Oh, wait. They have shredders and Chicago politics. And besides.... What difference does it make???

Susan, what changes are you willing to make in YOURSELF and not just others? At some point, that is the question all of us must with, including me. Did you ever point you finger at someone? You are pointing at yourself 3 times as much. To me, this was a very important point.
