A Scene From Warrior Hike's Journey Along the Appalachian Trail

A scene from along the Appalachian Trail, where our Warrior Hikers have been communing with nature for the past couple months. Soon the group will be at trail's end in Maine, where Cooking With the Troops will meet and greet them. I bet they have some stories to tell. Oh, yes I do...

There's a reason they're called "the heads".

There is one very similar at the back side of Massanutten and it is a lot closer than North Carolina. They built a ramp for hang gliders to use to get a better running start.

This makes me dizzy to look at, but I admire this brave hiker for venturing so far out on the ledge. I would want to have a hang glider, Rick, or at least a parachute!
